A 17th-century East Indiaman, belonging to the Dutch East India Company and the largest ship in their fleet. Her maiden voyage to the Dutch East Indies was in 1651. After several voyages, she sank near Madagascar in 1662. Fortunately, her blueprints are still in the hands of local shipwrights.
