A ship of the line of the Black Sea Fleet, it participated in the defense of Sevastopol during the Crimean War. It was scuttled along with other ships on February 13, 1855, to block Anglo-French ships from entering the harbor. Fortunately, the Archipelago's shipwrights managed to recover its blueprints.
